Christmas in July Movie #1 🎄🏖
Very much your typical royal television movie. Kinda sucks that it didn't find a network to air in the states and went straight to video. I hope some network picks it up for this holiday season. With all the junk ION TV airs during the holiday why not acquire something good like this movie.
The gist is lady travels to made-up country to take professional photographs of the royal Christmas festivities. Problem is she's posing as a famous photographer who she happens to be an assistant too. Wouldn't you know the prince and she fall in love in like two days. We've got plenty of misunderstandings, a stellar mean girl, supportive and unsupportive parents, a somewhat contrived plot, but I found it charming. I went into this with low expectations and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, and how good it was. I really do enjoy the regular person falls in love with royalty genre. I fully admit that a lot of the movies in this romance sub-genre are not good, but I totally had fun with this film. This movie is solid. A good cast who did well with the material they had, and decent chemistry throughout. This movie was shot in Bulgaria so there's some really beautiful scenery. Totally accomplished the fairytale aesthetic. Pretty good for a family watch if you wanted.
My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 👍
