Christmas in July Movie #29๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ–️

For my last holiday movie for the month of July I dug into the Hallmark vault for another film I'd never seen before. Lucky Christmas is defiantly a movie Hallmark would not make today even with its positive changes. It's a madcap comedy that masks the fact that this movie is really a Lifetime thriller with no murders. The men in this movie are revolting and irremediable. How a single mother forgives these men who steal her car, and keep her million dollar winning lottery ticket while stalking and spying on her to see if she's worth giving it back is insane. Only in media would a woman be charmed and fall madly in love by that bull shit. Is this movie slapstick? Yes. Is this movie kinda funny and schmaltzy? Sort of and yes. There's a lot of holiday troupes in this movie, single poor mom, down on their luck losers, all that stuff we expect. The actors are decent, and it's a bizarre and kind of a fun premise, but no way is anything that happens n this movie okay. It's kind of unique for Hallmark, I guess especially now. I really don't know how to feel about this movie.

My Rating: ⭐⭐
