Christmas in July 2020 Movie #1

Your typical save the business from the evil bankers, and those bankers are evil, holiday film. The movie is a little like ‘You’ve Got Mail’ where the two leads have a text romance where the two don’t know who each other really are. The romance blooms despite they're being on opposite sides, and him being a semi evil banker.

You know for a Christmas movie there really isn’t enough Christmas going on. It looks okay, weird lighting in some scenes, the sound isn’t the best in certain scenes, low budget for sure, but they did they're best. The acting was so so. Honestly it was kind of a slog to watch despite a few laughs here and there. The semi evil banker dude deserved the scorn. He’s like I like this girl who I’m texting, but I also love the girl who I helped steal her home. Like cry me a river guy. Those idiots had no chemistry. There’a a twist that has nothing to do with save the inn that I saw coming, it was pretty obvious to guess especially at how those scenes played out. It just added to the bummer-ness this movie kept throwing at you. It ended like I expected, but I just didn’t care. Look they tried, I don’t regret watching, but I’ll probably never see this again.

My Rating: ⭐⭐
