She of course refuses, so the two strike a deal-if she can help him discover the truth behind his death and why he is cursed to return to the inn for Christmas each year, he will leave Hollygrove and allow her to finish her job. But as they work together, Kate can't help but fall for this dashing Christmas spirit from another time, and a romance develops that will alter the course of both their lives.

----- SLIGHT SPOILERS -----
Oh my gosh, I loved, and I mean loved, this TV movie. I super loved it.
Kate (Jen Lilley) is an estate lawyer, she has three weeks to get a bed and breakfast sold. She assumes it's not gonna be a hurdle, except she doesn't know the place is haunted. The caretaker Rafferty tries to talk her ought of staying at the inn when nobody is there but Kate is not having it. After weird noises, shadowy figures, and calls to the cops Kate comes upon uptight Daniel (Thomas Beaudoin) who tells her to get out of his house. Rafferty tells Kate Daniel is a ghost, he's been haunting the place for over ninety years. Kate's like your crazy, he's pretty solid, and it so happens to be Daniel comes to life during the twelve days of a Christmas but can't leave the estate. Kate's only solution is to try and help Daniel free himself of the situation and finally be at peace. After all Kate has a promotion lined up if this is successful sale. During this time Kate and Daniel bond, hidden truths are exposed, long buried secrets are revealed, more ghosts pop up, love blooms, and a Christmas wish is finally granted.
First off, this movie looks so beautiful. It's a snow covered winter feast for the eyes. I've always found snow photographs well, when its all sparkly white and falling, gorgeous. While this is a familiar romantic tale it has some nice twists to the haunted house ghost angle. The performances were solid for the most part. Man, Jen Lilley has come along way for me. When she was on General Hospital for a year stepping into a well liked role filling in for an actor on sick leave I couldn't stand her. Then she's off to Days of Our Lives and she shines. I mean she's no Meryl Streep, but she's found her groove. She is way to cute here. I loved the characters, the story, the setting, everything. Lifetime struck gold with this one. Hell, Lifetime scored gold with me. I can't believe how much I loved this. I gotta say, what a unique enough Christmas television movie this year in a slew of same old same old.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐½
