An Ice Wine Christmas (2021)

Synopsis: 

One of Philadelphia's top wine sommeliers, Camila goes home to the magical vineyards of Evergreen, NY, to take part in the town's annual Ice Wine Christmas Festival and harvest. While there, Camila spends time with her mother Sunny and sister Beth, who manages the local winery for Camila's former ice wine mentor, Henry. But Camila discovers changes are coming as Henry plans to retire, scaling down the Christmas Festival. Beth also recently hired wine specialist Declan who plans to take the operation to full year production. Believing in the importance of preserving the magic of 'Christmas in a bottle', Camila shares with Declan her passion for Christmas and what an authentic ice wine harvest can bring.

🎄 2021 Christmas Binge Watch Movie #17 🎄

Lifetime’s first holiday movie of the season, and it was just okay. Honestly I was bored by it. I’m not a wine person, I didn’t know ice wine was a thing. All the talk about wine, making the wine, and harvesting the grapes was so tedious to me. It’s all they talked about, and how they may or may not be happy at work. It’s another tale of science versus gut. I’m so sick of that right about now. One is not better than the other. If you’ve been farming for decades, wether it be grapes or corn, I think you’re going with both. You know the land, the soil, the weather, but you also know your gut ain’t always gonna lead you to victory. That said this lady’s gut was strong and nobody believed in her gut powers. Typical for a tv movie like this. Seriously though, this movie was fine enough. I’m sure it’ll work for some. I was bored by the romance of it all. To me there wasn’t any chemistry, and the stuff they did together did not light up any spark. Eh.
