š 2021 Christmas Binge Watch Movie #16 š
Why is this series a trilogy? And why do I watch all of them? Itās like watching a train wreck three blocks away with binoculars. I wish they were so bad in a cheesy enjoyable way, but no. All these characters, and the first movie only, are based on the novel St. Piranās: Prince on the Childrenās Ward by Sarah Morgan.
So they fall in love at Christmas, then next Christmas they get married, and so for their third Christmas together they got a bun in the oven. At this point sheās been married for awhile and sheās still gotta learn how to eat like a lady? For a doctor sheās slow to the game. Of course sheās beloved for man handling that burger while wearing heels and a tiara. Amazing that only five people attend their royal tour. None of these fairytales are based on any reality, and they shouldnāt be, but man do they stretch the line here. I will say that acting is a smidge better than the previous films, but uh, letās just say none of these guys are thespians of their craft. I mean soap legend Charles Shaughnessy knows what heās doing and what heās in. I mean he filmed this whole movie on zoom. Oh man, we should have a nanny Christmas movie reunion with Fran Drescher. Any who I digress. So if you're expecting a lots of hiccups and the movie ending with a newborn baby played by a six month old at Christmas youād be wrong. I couldnāt believe it, thereās so much movie after baby is born. There is a plot point that I canāt believe these two idiots didnāt realize. Like how stupid are you? Of course it matters where your baby is born when itās in direct line of succession. Thereās also another element that involves this baby that Iām like no way nobody knew. Youāre surrounded by doctors and sentenced to bed rest in a hospital, and nobody knows this lady has twins growing in her belly. So letās watch a fake Christmas movie, and see them battle on whether the boy or girl inherit the throne. They shouldāve solved that like they did on Sofia the First. Yes, Iām a grown ass adult who watched that cartoon with her niece, and not with her niece. Why Disney doesnāt do a show with teenage Sofia is beyond me. Again, I digress. What else can I say, this was a movie thatās not horrible, but you know not great either. On a positive note, the costumes are much improved from the ugly that came before in the previous films. I will stress again how this is not really a Christmas movie despite the title. They do not celebrate the holiday, and you only know itās the season because thereās a Christmas tree and some wreaths up in the church. It barely passed as a holiday film.
