๐ŸŽ„ 2021 Christmas Binge Watch Movie #30 ๐ŸŽ„

The television gods, and Hallmark, have blessed us mere mortals with an all to brief Paul Greene shirtless scene. That gets one full star rating in itself. You know that Golden Girls gif of Blanch spraying herself with water to cool herself off, that was me.

This movie is a bit goofy. Two best friends from childhood build a successful toy company. Chris begins concentrating on profits and making the business successful while Joe thinks she’s lost the integrity of simple toy making. So their partnership is done. I mean Joe is so mad they making money. He does realize he’s running a business right? They gotta make some money to continue to make their products. But Chris is to focus group minded. Oh the dilemma. By the way Chris is short for Christmas cause she was born on that day, get it. So seven years later Chris is gonna merge the company and become a mega CEO. Only problem, she has to get Joe to sign off on it. Like they never mention it but if he needs to sign off on this merger is he still collecting a paycheck? We know Chris is awful because she’s a successful workaholic who loves her work, and has no time for her family. Guilted into watching her niece for the holiday, Paul agrees to sign off if she helps him with his toy drive. By the way this movie is also a coproduction with Build A Beat so showing the charity is a big deal. I think you pretty much know where this story is headed, a tried and true Hallmark staple of story telling. The movie is fine, the leads have decent chemistry, there’s funny moments, solid performances, the movie looks decent, and the real Santa seems to be hovering about. Did I mention that Paul Greene is shirtless for like three seconds? Oh I did, we’ll just reminding ya’ll. This movie is fine, not great, but just fine.
