Synopsis: 

After her father is hurt in a timber accident, Katie Jolly must enter a lumberjack competition to save her family's business. But when the paramedic who saved her da's life also joins the contest, a romance sparks just in time for Christmas.

Why is a movie about a lady competing in an ax throwing competition in order to save her dad’s lumber business by Christmas while falling in love with a paramedic during long wilderness hikes and preaching about the environment so dang serious? This lady does her own mountain version of cross fit. No fun is to be had here. Some of the acting is cringe, and really no chemistry. The entire cast takes this movie so seriously, it’s like they got a dramatic Oscar contender on their hands. Not all of it is bad, the family stuff is decent, just don’t think it needed to be treated so severely. Even the music is like listen here folks, serious stuff is happening.
