I can't believe how much fun this movie was. I don't know how faithful of an adaptation this is, I've never read the book. Hot firefight Zachary begrudgingly takes in a cat who's determined to never leave the house he's flipping ever again. Naturally Zachary dates a model who's a real piece of work, and super determined to get rid of Ambrose the cat. We've got future veterinarian Marilee bumping into Zachary all over the place, even the grocery store were she tries to hide in vain the amount of ice cream she's buying. One day hot model gets her fired from her job and Zachary is having none of it. So Zachary and Ambrose and Marilee and her cat Queen ending up living and spending a lot of time together. Love blooms, and a lot of comment issues get in the way. It all ends with a bow on top cause this is Hallmark, but the journey is super fun to watch. Brandon Routh and Kimberly Sustad have great chemistry, are pretty funny and absolutely adorable together. There's a lot of holding cats, pettings carts, cats showing their owners how dumb they are, and if you're a cat lover and owner it pretty much rings true on that end. I mean it's kinda a simple low stakes romance, but it's so much fun. Good supporting cast, and I'll say it again, a really fun rom-com to watch.

My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐½
