Christmas in July 2022 - Movie #16 ๐Ÿฉฑ๐Ÿ–๐ŸŽ„

I thought this was gonna be a light romantic fare, but it’s defiantly a drama. Tough watch. They take themselves a little too seriously. I didn’t think she was that clueless or such an asshole for certain characters to treat her like she’s terrible. Listen big city girl, you're a difficult asshole, you don’t know shit about snow or cold. Big city folks from Los Angels with dead parents who are workaholics need to be taken down a peg or two. It’s Christmas dammit. Let alone her friends who keep telling her to stay on vacation. Like she ain’t happy, let her come home. Of course she learns her lesson, but she wasn’t that bad to be learning that lesson. I thought this lady's best friends were a couple for almost the entire time until one of them ladies mentioned a husband and child. I also thought that the other friendship was really about a broken relationship with someone still pinning for the other, but that was the movie pulling a fast one. I might be making too much of this movie cause I hate it so much. Terrible acting, so melodramatic, predictable, no chemistry between anyone, terrible music, and dour. I get it, but I hate it. Nice scenery at least. This close to being a Lifetime thriller because of the dude, or an episode of one of them murder shows on Discovery ID.

My Rating: ⭐

Where to Watch: Crackle, Plex TV, Prime Video
