๐ŸŽ„ 2021 Christmas Binge Watch Movie #71 ๐ŸŽ„

This movie’s non Lifetime title is "Christmas in Washington" which is exactly what the movie is about. I mean "Match Made in Mistletoe" is fine and all, but not really a match for this film. One question I do have, why do the folks who come from this made up country, Belmarian, near Sweden mind you, have no accent? Usually folks from made up countries always have British accents, but I guess they thought why bother and just have folks with non accents use big words stiffly. Alrighty then.

Any who, Christmas loving decorator Emily gets hired to decorate the Embassy for a Christmas charity ball, problem is the new grinch like Ambassador Magnus doesn’t want none of it. He’s fighting a losing battle. The whole plot of this movie is dumb, and it’s this close to being a royal movie. Well it’s a royal adjacent movie for sure, but doesn’t technically count as there’s no royals falling in love. Emily at one point wears this fascinatingly ugly white coat with birds, flowers, and trees on it. I was like mesmerized by the thing. Dang, I kinda want one for myself now. Betcha it was pricey.

This movie is ridiculous, and a little to melodramatic towards the end, but I highly enjoyed it for some reason. I dug the chemistry between the cast and the main couple. I don’t know, this just hit me in my sweet spot.

My Rating: ⭐⭐½
