Synopsis:
Marketing whiz Alma Beltran and Christmas tree whisperer Charlie Fremont cross paths when Charlie finds the perfect tree for the Maine Governor's Holiday Celebration - right in Alma's back yard. While they initially spar, romantic sparks soon begin to fly between the two women as the enchanting tree and some Christmas fairy dust from the town's pâtissière extraordinaire bring out the best in them and spark each other to take leaps of faith and fight for love and Christmas magic.

Yet another movie where someone needs to get their hands on somebody's beloved steeped in family history tree so it can wilt and die a slow depressing death in front of some city hall with Christmas lights on it. And of course these two people will be attracted to each other, perhaps fall in love, and then have a last minute obstacle in their path to potential happiness. Naturally the tree seeker might have her job on the line, and the tree keeper might be taking over a family business while her mom question's her every decision even though she co-owns a successful business with Ricki Lake who mostly pops up in the movie holding a dessert. Hey everybody I'm in this movie, baking, wiping down counters, and being an ear to anybody who needs. it.
I thought this movie was cute. The cast was good, there were some funny moments like the race for ingredients for the gingerbread house competition, and man where those ladies vicious. While the premise is a staple and successful holiday troupe the movie manages to freshen it up, and make it fun and enjoyable.
