Okay. So like Vanessa is an orphan, and a dedicated social worker. Her bestie convinces her to do a DNA genealogy test. As she’s looking at her results right away a message pops up saying they found her long lost father. They immediately contact each other and Vanessa is going to daddy’s house for Christmas to meet the new extended family. Like I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but wouldn’t you get a second paternity test just to make sure. So Vanessa meets the extended family after a commercial break or two and its looking positive. Vanessa also meets a hot guy, so Christmas is going pretty good till she gets a call saying they messed up the DNA test. First off this site needs to get its act together. It’s not the only blunder of the movie. So Vanessa is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Whatever will she do? It’s a Hallmark movie so you know it’s gonna be okay whatever. There’s a few twists here and there that might be predictable, but it’s a charming movie none the less. I highly enjoyed this. It was sweet and fun. A solid cast with good chemistry between everyone. A feel good holiday tale about family with a little romance thrown in. The lesson really is don’t trust a website with your DNA test results. Like always get a second opinion. 😉
Update: I totally missed the beardless Tyler Hynes cameo. I had to rewind.
