The film was inspired by the investigative work of Pamela Slanton.
Thought this was a lovely story about family, and the love of family no matter where you come from, who you are, or if you're blood related or not. Eve (Paige Hurd) wants to know why she was abandoned by her birth mother, and she can't move forward without letting go of the anxiety's and worries of not being good enough. So her supportive boyfriend Chris (Romeo Miller) hires Pam (Juliana Harkavy) to find out the truth. Eve's adoptive brother Andy (Alex Wong) is also supporting Eve in her search.
I really liked this movie, it was a bit choppy at times, some of the acting was a little wonky, but the cast gelled and it's a heartfelt story. The movie wears that on its sleeve, and it's very grounded. It ends in a way where I could see them having the character of Pam in another movie, helping to reunite more families. I wouldn't mind that if they did.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Where to Watch: Bounce TV, Brown Sugar, Prime Video
